본과의 연구분야는 크게 불문학, 불어학의 두분야로 나뉘어 질 수 있다.
불문학 분야는 시, 소설, 희곡, 비평및 문예사조등 각 장르별로 커리큘럼이 구성되어 있으며, 이러한 것을 심층적으로 연구하기 위해 여러 과목들이 개설되어 있다.
수업은 주로 강의와 학생의 테마연구로 진행된다. 불어학의 세부분야는 음성학, 음운론, 통사론, 의미론 등이고 이 들 언어학 뿐 아니라 전산언어학을 비롯한 응용언어학을 전공할 수 있다.
The research areas of this department can be broadly divided into two main fields: French Literature and French Linguistics.
The French Literature curriculum is organized by genre, including poetry, novels, drama, criticism, and literary history. Various courses are offered to facilitate in-depth study of these areas. Classes are primarily conducted through lectures and student-led thematic research.
The subfields of French Linguistics include phonetics, phonology, syntax, and semantics. In addition to these areas of linguistics, students can also specialize in applied linguistics, including computational linguistics.
